Massey App Used Successfully At Gas Incident In West Coast’s Tallest Building

On Sept 12, the Wilshire Grand Center, at 73 stories and 1100′ tall, Los Angeles’ (and the west coast) tallest building experienced a stressful gas incident that involved a partial evacuation of the super-tall mixed-use tower.

The GM of the Cushman & Wakefield managed property did a brilliant job in reacting to the threat, guided by the Massey App while she worked closely with LAFD commanders in tracking down the source of the gas and minimizing its impact to the tenants.

Once it was determined the gas was being pulled in from an outside source, the HVAC system was quickly reconfigured to eliminate the infusion of the noxious fumes and the building was reoccupied in short order.

The Massey App not only provided expert written content on this type event, but also was used in communicating with the tenants via its emergency messaging component.
