Curtis Massey Presents at 2023 Philadelphia BOMA Meeting

On January 12, 2023 Curtis Massey, president and owner for Massey Emergency Management spoke to the attendees at the 2023 Philadelphia BOMA membership meeting and luncheon.

His presentation titled ‘Increase your Properties Response Profile’ covered a number of topics including understanding fire department operations in multi-story and complex occupancy buildings, how the initial stage of an emergency unfolds involving first responder agency interface and how to increase the speed data can be shared during an incident.

In addition of the above, Curtis spoke of the new threats electric vehicle fires can have on properties, particularly when they occur in garages underneath buildings. These topics all culminated in the discussion of how there is a growing need to update and evolve tenant training systems, including teaching tenants how to evacuate the building, especially vital with the current hybrid work model.

With over 3 decades developing emergency preplans, Curtis Massey is an expert in the field of life safety and brings a depth of knowledge on the subject to his clients that few possess.  Massey Emergency Management has served the commercial real estate industry since 1986, preplanning more than 800 MSF of properties and developing the emergency preparedness and response tool – The Massey App – that is used throughout the real estate sector in Philadelphia and its suburbs.
