Philadelphia’s central business district was filled with first responders Saturday at an advanced technology high-rise drill at Two Logan Square.
First responders and building staff at the Brandywine Realty Trust building were able to take advantage of new mobile app technology from Massey Emergency Management to share the status of both the mock fire incident and firefighter mayday with each other due to the app’s groundbreaking annotation capability and emergency messaging.
The Massey App’s annotator allows incident commanders from responding agencies and building staff alike to highlight critical elements of an incident and share with all involved.
The technology has been embraced in Philadelphia by both fire and police (SWAT/Spec. ops only) to provide critical access to building preplans 24/7 in an emergency.
