A 64-story tower designed by internationally acclaimed architect Helmut Jahn is the latest building to implement the Massey Emergency Management System.
One of the tallest residential buildings in the United States, 50 West will have the most advanced property and life safety system available with the implementation of The Massey Plan™ and The Massey App™, providing a comprehensive package of technology that has been tested by the nation’s leading fire departments and embraced by the largest real estate ownership and management firms.
The Massey App creates a mobile version of a building’s preplans for viewing anywhere, anytime even if power, connectivity or both are lost. That is critical in an emergency and the groundbreaking system is rapidly spreading throughout the commercial real estate industry for high and low rise commercial and residential structures and campus environments. Building plans and data are integrated into more than 130 emergency events, complete with concise, prioritized action steps for building management to take should an emergency arise.
Massey Disaster Planning is a firm celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016, having launched its products in more than 800 million square feet of real estate over its history. It is proud to include 50 West in its rapidly growing stable of clients, as the newest iconic landmark on the New York skyline where our firm has created safety systems for property covering more than 100 million square feet.
