This beautiful 1MSF art-deco office tower is one of Boston’s elite downtown addresses. Assigned to Massey by Divco Properties, on the heels of Cambridge’s massive Cambridge Crossing mixed-use development assignment, this former BOMA building of the year award winner was built utilizing a unique “up-up” approach (versus up-down), using a slurry wall and internal bracing technique. This allowed the foundation to be installed within mere feet of nearby structures, including the adjacent 5-story Bedford Building, an 1876 Brownstone. The skyscraper is the former HQ for State Street Corp, which moved to the gleaming new One Congress tower nearby, also another Massey planned building. Massey has pre-planned the vast majority of Boston’s financial district.
